Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Basically the treatment depends on the severity and type of
endometriosis.
Endometriosis is known for recurrence.
Medical management is often the first line of management.
Before trying Lupron, you can go for
progesterone medications ( as combined estrogen progesterone pills are contraindicated for you since you wish to conceive ).
if these fail, Lupron can be tried.
laparoscopy is often chosen if medical treatment fails or there are huge adnexal cysts that require surgical removal.
Laparoscopy can grade endometriosis and also assess the patency of your fallopian tubes.
If they are open, you can go for follicular monitoring to track ovulation.
If they are closed, laparoscopy will prevent futile attempts at stimulation and pave the way for IVF -
In Vitro Fertilization.
Hence, go for a trial of drug therapy, and if you want a clear cut diagnosis straightaway, then go for laparoscopy.
Laparoscopy is more advisable in view of
fertility concerns.
Expedite the attempts at conception once the disease is controlled surgically / medically because time is of the essence as far as endometriosis is concerned.
All the best
