Should I Consult A Doctor For Mucous Cyst In Lower Lip?

Hi,
I have had a mucous cyst on the inside of my lower lip. I have had it for about 2 weeks. It decreases in size and then returns. It is not painful but it is annoying. I noticed today that it has turned a redish/purple color. Is this normal or should I see a doctor soon?

Reddish discolouration of the cyst could mean that the cyst is infected.
Please see as surgeon for further management. You will have to be put on antibiotics and once it settles you could excise the cyst
