Should I Be Worried About Swelling And Pain When Opening Mouth After Head Injury?

Hi, earlier this morning I was pushing my grandma's gate to open and I slipped and hit the temporal region at the metal pole. It was hurting pretty badly and the area right now is a bit swollen and hurts when I touched it. I noticed that when I open my mouth I can feel that area being slightly painful. Should I be worried?

Hi and thanks for the query,
I do not think you need to be that worry as of now. I think you could start with a simple analgesics like Acetaminophen and an anti inflammatory drug like low dose Ibuprofen. These should cause remarkable improvement within a few days. In case it persists, you might have to consult a doctor. Thanks and kind regards
