Recurring Severe Headaches On Bending, Palpitations, Sweating, Vomiting, Spots In Vision. Treatment?

I am having severe headaches that come on within seconds and go within minutes. This happens when I bend a lot doing simple chores. The pain is excruciating and i have severe palpitations and sweating. Often I vomit afterwards. I have spots before my eyes and floating objects, I also have a dull headache most of the time which can change in its severity from day to day. It feels like pressure across my nose and eyes. Sometimes the headaches wake me up at night.

Welcome to HCM!

After going through your question I found that you have a chronic dull headaches varying with days, sudden headaches when you bend down, along with palpitation, sweating, vomiting and floaters in front of eyes.

Had I been treating you I would ask you yo get BP checked, an X Ray neck , and blood counts and thyroid function test. If all are normal, it is better to get an MRI brain done. X Ray face to see sinuses, it will rule out any chronic sinusitis.

Your presentation resembles cervical spondylosis, but as the pain you have also causes spotters/ floaters in eyes, along with constant dull headache, it is better to rule out neurological factor with MRI brain.

In case of cervical spondylosis, pain killers, antacids and antihistamines have a great role but the main treatment is doing neck and head exercises. It is helpful to reduce weight when one is overweight.

In severe cases of cervical spondylosis, one might have to use some neck collars for some time but with regular exercise it is almost completely treatable in maximum cases.

so, you must see a physician and get your self investigated.

Hope the answer helps you with the headaches.
