Recommend Treatment For Vision Disorder

I have a vision problem. I am male, 53 years old. This has happened twice in the last 2 years, the symptom only lasting 2 to 5 minutes. For this 2-5 mins, I only see the right half of things.I was looking at a road sign at a distance of 10m .. I could see the right half letters of a place name, but not the left.I was looking at a person 3 feet away ... I could only see the right half of their face. This optic information malfunction occurs the same with both eyes looking, or just the left eye or just the right eye. I have no other headaches / migraine symptoms, nor am I under any type of physical or emotional stress. My fear is that this may increase in frequency and possibly become a danger when driving.

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello,

Please get your eyes examined by an ophthalmologist for a closer look at the fundus which gives information about the retina, macula and optic nerve. Do get a automated visual field examination done. To rule out vascular problems you may need a carotid doppler , MRI brain. Please do not delay your visit as it could be a forewarner of a compromised blood supply.

Regards
