Pregnant And Having Headache. Taking Albendazole For Seizure, Pressure In The Back Of Head. Could It Be Due To Infection?

Hello, I'm a 33 year old female, when I was 26 headaches started and since i was pregnant they though it was normal, after my daughter was born the headaches didn't go away and a year later i had a seizure while sleeping and found that I had neurocysticircosis. They put me on albendazole I don't remember for how long and keppra for live adding that I could not have more kids because of this medication. After a year and a half my neurologist did some MRI and other tests and since i was only 29 and no headaches or seizures occurred she decided to clear me from the medication. She said that the infection left Behind some calcification a but they were very very small so a surgery was not recommended and the risks to have another seizure cause by those calcifications were very small.
Now I'm 33 and the headaches came back they are very mild in the back of my head and on the sides, when they get strong they are sharp on the sides and my vision can get blurred but regularly they are very mild yet constant , also from I get dizzines during the day and more when I'm laying down or sitting down two days ago I fainted in the morning when I got up from bed but, it was just for seconds since then I still with the pressure in the back of my head and very nauseous but no vomiting this morning my left arm feels weird from the elbow to the fingers, especially the pinky, ring and middle fingers. The doctor said it is dehydration but I'm not sure about that he doesn't think it is related with the infection I had before but I'm a little concern about this. I'm pretty healthy, eating very healthy, drinking lots of water and also I run every day 4 to 5 miles which this past 2 weeks didn't do it because I feel very tired and with no energy.
Do you think this can be related to the infection I had before? Can neurocysticircoses come back? Or what else this could be.
Thanks
Sandra

Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for posting your query.

Neurocysticercosis (NCC) is a common cause of seizures and headache in a young person like you.

Generally, the NCC infection does not get back, but in rare situations, it can recur either at the same place or at a new location in the brain.

Your symptoms sound more like a migraine headache to me, which is ask common at your age. So, I would prefer treating you with migraine medications for the time being, and see the improvement. If the improvement in your symptoms is not satisfactory, then, i would go for the MRI scan of the brain.

I hope it helps. Please get back if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
