Paralyzed, Implanted With Pacemaker, Having Dry Cough. Endoscopy, Neurology Test Normal. Relief With Corex. Any Alternative Medicine?

Hi Doc, this is reg my mother's health. Shez paralyzed since 2 yrs. Shez implanted with a pace maker b4 that. Now shez getting dry cough through out night. Endoscopy, neurology tests made on her says no probs! Cardiologist suggested to take Corex syrup. Surprisingly it works. But, I heard it is not advisable to consume it long term. Pl suggest is there any alternative for this. Thanks in advance.

Hi, the dry cough is usually due to the swelling of the uvula, at the posterior end of the soft palate, due to infection, or hypertension, or oedema.the treatment comprises, the local by gargling with salt water.
I to my patient with such symptoms precribe erythromycin 500mg, B.D, codeine containig cough syrup. Thank you.
