Painful, Heavy And Clotty Period, Sharp Pain, Heart Murmur, Hypoactive Thyroid. What Can Help?

Hello, my period has always been long, painful, and very clotty. Generally my period lasts 8 days and I use super plus tampons for the majority of my period. My clots have always been large but normal color, deep red or bright red. Today my regular clots have a pink/peach fleshy clotting as well, no larger than normal and my period is extremely painful. When I move I feel sharp pains inside my vagina and anus. I have spoke with my gyno in the past about endometriosis and he indicated that it could be possible but would only explore my if I was going in for a surgery anyway, he didn't want to perform exploratory surgery just for that. Also, a previous gyno indicated that I have a "nice, small uterus" I have had one child, almost 9 years ago. I am 28 years old, I am 5'5, 265lbs. I have a heart murmur and hypoactive thyroid for which I take synthroid.

Your problem can be due to your thyroid problem or some uterine pathology. In such excessive bleeding i used to advise my patients tranexemic acid preparations. complete evaluation including hemogram, blood coagulation profile and uterine sonography for fibroids and endometrial thickness. Also, i would like to advise iron preparations for building up haemoglobin.
