On Narcotic Pain Relievers For Pain Relief. How Soon Can Medication Be Refilled Before Due Date?

I have a question pertaining to prescriptions, I am a chronic pain patient and have been on narcotic pain relievers now for 8 months and I was wondering how soon can you ask for a refill of a medication ( legally ) ? Is there a law or something that doesnt actually allow a doctor to refill a narcotic pain medication a day or two before your date for a refill is due?

Hi, that is all depends upon the what is the cause of the pain, and possibilities of curing the pain. You are scared of the filling of the narcotic pain reliever means you are near to the habbit forming.
I to my patient with such pain prescribe neurotropic injections for 10 consecutive days and then one injection every week. with this you will be under controle of pain perception. Then try to taper the dose of the narcotic.
Thank you.
