My Heart Is Racing, What Should I Do ?

ok so i was laying in bed last night andi could not sleep because my heart was racing and my heart is still racing now it has been racing for hours what dose it mean should i call my Doctor? i feel week light headed and dizzy too. it is 80 is that normal?

although the cause of your tachycardia is probably benign, if this has been lasting for hours, you should get an electrocardiogram. You can try the valsalva manoeuvre and see if your heartrate calms down. Take a deep breath, and then blow on your fist (not letting any air escape), thus building up pressure in your thorax. If your heartrate decreases you probably have supraventricular tachycardia. Good luck.
