MRSA In The Lymph Nodes, Might Want To Check For Staph Infection. Contagious Disease?
Hi, my daughter-in-law just found out that her mother has MRSA . They have her mom in the hospital and are doing some sort of surgery. They told my son that she has it in lymph nodes. I told him they may want to be checked for the staph. What do you think? We do not know how long she has had this and understand it can be contagious.

mrsa its methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus..its affectivity depends on individual's immunity....yes its contagious so patient should be kept in isolation...first the primary infection site to be found...then test to which antbiotic is her blood reacting...then take implement that antibiotic into her body and see whether the primary infection site is healing or not...generaly tetracyclines or co trimoxazole or tinidazole are given...
