Large Hematoma In Knees Due To Fall. On Xarelto For PAF, Have Pacemaker. Suggested Possible Dosage Adjustment Of Anti Coagualant. Necessary?

I had a bad fall July 26th, and developed large hematoma on front of right knee, with smaller one on left knee. I am on Xarelto (anti-coagulant) for PAF. I have a Pacemaker also. My cardiologist is away. My R.A. specialist wants me to follow-up re: possible dosage adjustment of anti-coagulant. Is this necessary with Xarelto?

Hello,
Thanks for writing to us
As you have developed large haematoma in your knees, it is mandatory to adjust the dose of anticoagulant( Xarelto). So I suggest you to consult your rheumatologist and dose adjustment acc. to that.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
