General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

2 years after a surgery the scar is completely formed and should not change much or should not give any itching.
However, as the scar is close to the ileostomy, sometimes stool gets under the skin and infects soft tissues under the scar. This usually gives redness, pain and fever as a result of an infection.
Other possible reason of her symptoms are stitches which sometimes start irritate the tissues and can cause such itching. This stitches are in the deeper parts of soft tissues. If so, the stitches needs to be found and removed.

I suggest you to visit general surgeon who will take a look at this scar and decide if there ii something that needs to be done.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
