Is It Safe To Get Pregnant With A Bladder Infection?
Hi - I have a question relating to ttc. Wed I had a ct scan and another ct scan with imaging on friday - diagnosed wtih bladder infection and they wanted to check the kidney was ok (and it was) Is it safe to try to concieve? My worry is the (2) ct scan and medicine (pain meds and keflex) could cause harm. Outside of the uti - I am good health and I am 41. I just was concerned with the recent procedures I had done and forgot to ask when I was there. thanks

Hi
It's ok to conceive with a bladder infection. Since your kidneys are ok, It is likely that you will just need a course of antibiotics for the infection and then you're good to go. You can also ask your doctor to switch to medications that are safer in pregnancy!
