Hi sir, My son is 1 year old. He was positive on montaux. So ATT is on . But doctors couldn t find any other relevant issues in chest x-ray . But from past 4 months he is geeting fever every now and than. Every time we have to admit him in hospital and doctors conclude it as viral fevel . Hi Geetanjali,
There are a few things I'd like to point out here:
a. First, you dont give you child Meftal for fever. This is a drug which can cause severe damage to the liver when there is fever. So always use paracetamol
b. For the on and off fever, I would need a more detailed history. This could be malaria, inadequately treated TB, UTI, or some other chronic illness like malnutrition etc.
Your son needs a detailed evaluation and we need to start with a complete blood count, with a peripheral smear and a urine exam.
Please see a pediatrician.
Hope that helps

Hi welcome to Health care magic forum. You have mentioned, that the boy is on ATT but didn't mentioned the drugs. whether two drugs or more. In case if 2 drugs 3or 4 drug regimen may help for complete cure. Sometimes adding a general antibiotic may help complete cure. Anaemia or some general conditions may obstruct the cure.
Besides i advise you some diet recommendations to the mother if breast feeding. Take more of greeny vegetables, pulses, sprouts, milk, egg, meat, fruits, juices, sea foods and dry fruits. To increase the mother and childs blood, general health and resistance to combat such infections.

Wishing for a quick recovery and thanks for calling.
