How To Treat Recurrent MRSA?

My husband has recurring MRSA. It currently is an open wound with raw flesh protruding from the opening. There is no fluid. The doctor tried to drain it on Monday. Oral, IV and ointment antibiotics have not kept it from coming back. The local docs don't really know what to do.
