How Long Does The Fever And Headaches Take To Come Down In Case Of Strep Throat?
I have been taking an antibiontic for what we thought was just cellulitis but when my culture came back it said I had strep and acinetobactor. I was put on a new antibiontic which I have been on for 3 days now and I am still running 101 and a 102 temps. I was confused on the strep because the only strep O thought of was with the throat but they did a culture on my belly button and it came back I had both of those. I am just frustrated with the fever and the headaches. So my main question is when should I contact my doctor and how long is too long for a fever?
Hello. Normally most of the time the fever is gone after 3 days with antibiotics. Anyway you can wait for 6 days and if the fever persist you should meet your doctor, maybe the antibiotic is not working and he will give you another one.
wish you all the best
