Have Fever, Vomiting, Infection In Stomach. Prescribed Zanocin, Ondem Liquid. What Is Going On?
Hi Doctor
my nine month old daughter is having fever n is vomiting since three days.... vomits in huge quantity n motions in huge and sticky. Doesn't eat and doesn't have milk. I went to doctor in the morning and he said that is bcoz of infection in stomach. Doctor priscribed below list of medicine
1) Zanocin Liquid
2) ORS
3) Ondem Liquid

Your doctor is correct.
Your daughter has infection of stomach.
Apart from the above mentioned medicines,please give her paracetamol for fever.She has to be given Econorm sachets also.Sometimes,simple zanocin may not work.Another medicine Ornidazole/Metronidazole should be added
If she is not eating anything by mouth,please give fluids intravenously.
