Cardiologist 's  Response
Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Syncope is transient loss of consciousness
Pre-syncope is threatening episode or warning signs.
You have to be followed up by a neurologist. / MRI may be needed. MRA (MRI angiography) shows blood vessels and is generally done at the same sitting.
If there are no clues, you have to be investigated by a Cardiologist! EKG / HOLTER (24 to 48 hour ambulatory monitoring – for arrhythmia) / ECHOcardiogram (for clot) / TMT (Treadmill exercise ECG – for ischemia) / LABORATORY work-up – may all be necessary for further assessment and assistance.

Take care
Wishing all well
God bless
Good luck

General & Family Physician Dr. Chobufo Ditah's  Response
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to ear about what you experienced.

Presyncope means your felt like you were going to faint. It differentiates it from syncope in which you actually faint. During presyncope, you have symptoms like light headedness, blurry vision, pounding heart, irregular heart beat, etc. IT is most often as a result of a sudden drop in blood pressure or the heart not pumping adequate quantities of blood at any time from a number of different possible causes which are mostly related to the heart and blood vessels.

I am pretty sure you were hospitalised to investigate and identify the exact cause of your symptoms so that they could be addressed properly. Maybe talking to your doctor to continue the process could be a good idea.

I hope this addresses your question fully and provides some guiding information. Feel free to return to us with more questions if need be and we shall gladly address them. I wish you well.
