Have Blotchy Red Skin On Chest. Increases With Sun Exposure. Used Sunscreens. Remedy?
Hi Doctor...I have botchy very red (almost purple) skin on my chest. I live in the NE and have not been exposed to much sun. Honestly, this has been here for a few years, but once the weather changes and I get even a little sun, it really intensifies. It is still dark red in the winter with no sun exposure. I use excellent sunscreens when I will be exposed to the sun. There is no itching or other uncomfortable sensation in the area.
Hello Welcome to healthcare magic forum. Thank you for your query I understand your concern regarding your skin problem. You have sun sensitive skin and you must continue sun screen. Red skin on chest may be due to some vascular problem or dermatitis. We have to rule out the other condition also. Physical examination is must in your case. I also need to know about it progress and changes. There may be family history also. You can apply good moisturizer after bath. Wearing cotton cloths is helpful. It is better to consult dermatologist for proper treatment plan. I hope I answered your question. Regards
