Had Acute Migraine. Inserted Cannula After Several Attempts. Took Tramadol, Pain Killers. Now Bruise In Back. Suggestions?

Hi, I had a very acute migraine a week ago that landed me in hospital due to uncontrollable vomiting over a 7 hour period. I was very dehydrated, and it took 6 attempts to insert a cannula so they could replace some lost fluids etc, as my veins kept collapsing. The migraine lasted for 4 days and I had taken a mixture of tramadol and other strong pain killers over those 4 days, as they tried to discern what was the best pain relief option. On the 4th day my lower back seemed to seize up, I put this down to maybe the medications and dehydration and just kept trying to keep my fluids up and use heat to stop the pain and stiffness in my lower back. Today I noticed a large bruise running down my spine on my lower back, the cause of this is a complete mystery to me, I did not do anything I am aware of to injure my back. Should I go see my GP about this, or is it something likely to have come about from my illness? I am 39 years old , weigh 64kg and am otherwise in perfect health.

Neurologist 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for the query
I understand your concern
Please get examined so that the diagnosis will be clear. You need medications for the migraine too. The medications that can help are amitryptiline, topiramate, propranolol along with rest, relaxation and avoidance of stress/precipitating factor

Best wishes
