Feel Nauseous. Difficulty In Pooping. Pooping Many Times. Wasn't Diarrhea. No Fever, Vomiting. Cure For Symptoms?

It's been 4 days that I have felt nauseous and light headed.
It started on Saturday, I woke up and felt a little queasy. I also had a hard time using the bathroom (pooping) after my morning coffee. I spent the whole day trying to poop. I finally pooped and then pooped again and again and again. About 6 times in all. However, it wasn't diarrhea, it was normal. The only thing abnormal was how many times I went after the intial time. This continued into the next day......I pooped about 6-8 times as well throughout the course of the day, all the while not feeling bad just not feeling right. No fever or vomiting. However, I have lost my appetite. On Mon I woke up feeling nauseous and went back to sleep until 11am. I didn't feel any better after the 11 am wake up either but I got up anyway. I have been nauseous ever since, like ALL day for the last 2 days. If I eat it gets worse, if I lay down it gets worse. I don't know what to do. Any insight would be great. I don't have health insurance right now so a Dr. visit is my last form of action. Thanks

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Unfortunately doctors visit might be necessary. Especially if you are older than 50. Such symptoms can be caused by partial bowels obstruction due to colon cancer. This disease is more possible over 50. It is quite characteristic that after a constipation, lots of stool appears (some people have diarrhea and constipation alternately). Loss of appetite, weight loss, nausea, blood in stool, bloating, abdominal pain can be also present.

Other possible reasons of constipation are bad diet (low fiber and mineral water intake), lack of physical activity, chronic bacterial infection, thyroid diseases, medicines (ca-blockers, antidepressants).

You may try to change your diet, increase fiber rich products, mineral water intake, however most reasonable is doctors visit, stool tests and colonoscopy.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
