Diabetes patient. What to do ?

i am engr khadim from Hyderabad Pakistan. my age 41 yrs S.collestrol level 173 mg/dl. S.triglyceridies 1014 mg/dl. HDL 20 mg/dl. LDL 50 mg/dl. VLDL 203mg/dl. & also i am Diabetes pts last 2 weeks. wt 76 kg.

dear, your sr tg level is extremly high you have to go for other investigation also,stop eating oily and fatty things ,be on boiled vegetable,we have medicine for your lipid problem and is effective,kindly repirts me with other tests

Dear Khadim, Welcome to healthcaremagic forum...
Serum triglyceride values of 1014mg/dl are way to high when compared with the normal values of 150!!! VLDL values are also high compared to the normal... You are under high risk to develop complications...
You will need to start acting on improving it as soon as possible. Check your blood sugars and keep them under control. Watch your weight and involve in weight reducing exercise. Modify your diet - use low calorie and low fat diet in all your meals.. Lipid lowering drugs such as fibrates can be used to lower triglyceride following a consult with a doctor.
