Could High Crp And Wbc Be Associated With Lung Cancer ?

high crp and wbc. Could this be associated with lung cancer? Have been having chest pain for a while. Heart problems ruled out. Now doctor is looking at lungs. Have had pneumonia twice in last six months. Blood test show elevated wbc and crp. I am concerned this could be cancer as it is very prominent in my immediate family.

Hello
High crp and WBC are most commonly associated with infection like pneumonia or any infection but very high levels may be seen in cancer also.
You also need some other tests like ct scan chest, X-ray chest , bronchoscopy in some cases to come to a diagnosis.
So don't jump to any conclusion and consult a chest physician or pulmonologist
Thanks
