I had lung cancer surgery in 12/2011, I am a nonsmoker, adenocarcinoma, stage 1B, removal of upper left lobe. Following xrays have shown a "persistant elevation of the right hemidiaphragm with overlying strands of linear fibrosis", (verbiage from xray report) not present before surgery....

My chest x-ray came back abnormal showing changes in bronchitis. I was told that my smoking has caused my bronchiole tubes to show signs of hardening and that I should consider quitting smoking. I'm all for it, however with that said, is the damage done? could it be a sign of cancer...
