Ayurveda Specialist Dr. Munish Sood's  Response
1. have the following possibilities ruled out: willful avoidance of toilet, eating lots of sugars, electrolyte disturbances?
2. is her thyroid profile normal?
3. any evidence of worms in stools (might causing intestinal obstruction)?
4. Adequate fluid intake because chronic constipation leads to frequent urinary tract infection.
5. regular bowel habits with attempted bowel movements 15-20 minutes before breakfast when gastro colic reflex is strongest.
6. give high fibre diet

Constipation is when your child does not pass stool naturally or does not have sensation of stools for more than 2 -3 days .We want it to happen daily & on time which is not possible always. The diet you are giving is good but is not rich in fibres.Fibres is present in fruits so instead of juice give her fruits to eat like sweet lime ;orange;watermelon ;papaya etc.Green leafy vegetables also contain fibres. Please understand stool is waste product so to get a waste product it is necessary to have waste material which is fibre.Change to fibre rich diet & problem of constipation will be solved .As for medicines you can give the medicines as advised by my colleague Dr,Manish Rijhwani.Take care.
