In fact there is no specific preparation, recommended for cough particularly for children, even it is not commandeered by authentic health department, the cause of cough should be treated, most of the cough symptoms among children are allergic in origin, and does not required any symptomatic treatment, such cough syrup may be dangerous for child health, simply a tea spoon of honey at bed time works very nicely, try this, of course it takes days for suppression of cough,, the syrup you mentioned here is not suitable for your kid, instead I would advise you to go for finding under laying cause discus it with pediatrician, have nice day.
