Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
You are most likely suffering from acute viral upper respiratory infections with secondary bacterial infection.
Presence of thick yellow colored mucus suggest the diagnosis.
You should consult with internal medicine specialist and should get thorough check up.
You should take complete antibiotic course along with mucolytic with nasal decongestants.
You should avoid cold drinks, sour, curd and oily foods.
You should do gargling three times in a day.
Take care,
Dr. Mayank Bhargava
