Child Has Horrible Cough, Breathing Difficulty While Trying To Clear Throat. Given Amoxycillin. Suggest?
My 24 month old has a horrible cough.bit has been nagging for about a week and now has gotten increasingly worse especially at night he is cough stiff up but doesn't let it come out. Then struggles to breathing trying g to clear his throat what shod I do? He has seen a physician hut it was not a pediaw Dr. No testing was done amoxcillian, was given should I give it are see his pediatrician

Amoxiciline is good antibiotic but after a week if there is no improvement then he requires evaluation.
X-ray chest and complete blood checking may require.
Consult pediatrician and get examined.
