My daughter is 2 years old. She has been on Movical schets since she was 9 months old to enable her to pass a bowel motion. From day one her motions were always loose (changing clothes/bedding etc) and at times her little legs and feet would be blue when going passing. At 9 months she couldn't go, I tried prune juice, coloxal drops, kiwifruit, lactulose but nothing worked. Dr gave her the sachets above. I have tried to take her off the sachets however she is in immense pain when she passes a motion (screaming, sweating, rigid body). When she has passed the motion it is not hard as a rock like I would expect however soft. I can sometimes be green in colour (this isn't usual my midwife advised it can be due to a sore tummy she has had green motions on occasions since day 1). What can I do where can I go? Breaks my heart she is in so much pain. She tells me she has an ouchie in her tummy and bum bum. Generally there is no blood mixed in, on the odd occasion there is the odd trace however I am not sure whether its from internal or external, when changing her I have not had traces of blood. A pediatrician is not interested in seeing her apparently its chronic constipation which is common in infants. Yes I agree but this isn't right - I don't know where to go from here is it an allergy?
