Can Numbness In Thumb, Collarbone And Neck Be A Result Of Hysterectomy?
I had a hysterectomy on October 9th. Went back to work on November 18th. Since going back to work I have numbness in my thumb, forefinger and middle finger on both hands. Both arms ache all the way up my arm into my collar bone and neck. I am tired all the time and chilled. Is this something from the hysterectomy or do I have something else going on? I none of these problems before surgery. I was fairly healthy and worked out all the time. I will be 48 years old in February.
Hi, These symptoms are unlikely to be related to your hysterectomy. You may have arthritic changes developing in your neck. I suggest you consider an MRI of your neck which will be able to identify whether there are any bony or disc abnormalities which may be squashing the nerves to your neck and arms.
