Can I Drink Red Wine With Thyroid Problem?
Im 39 I take atenonol 25mg half in morning half in evening I take it cause my thyroid caused my heart to race & skip beats I'm also on thyroid meds once dayly methimazole 5mg, can I drink red whine & be okay? The pharmacy said yes but what do you say??

I read carefully your concern.
If the thyroid hormonal level is within the normal ranges with 4 mg methimazol than you should not have high heart rate. If the tachycardia persists probably the dose of methimazol should be raised,but first check the thyroid hormones.
Once the normal ranges of TSH, FT4 and FT3 are reached than you can drink 1 glass of wine/day.
