Can Diltiazem ER Capsule Be Taken For High Blood Pressure?

I m taking diltiazem ER cap 180 mg for my high blood pressure but tonight it seems ifeel little beat dizzy so I check my blood pressure without taking the medicine yet my blood pressure is low 1st 109/77 then 119/82 pulse is 83 ,110/78 . My question do I need to take my medicines , please help

Hello. Welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Tab dilgem SR will reduce blood pressure as well as heart rate. It is important to know for which indication it has been started actually. Usually we are using this medicine to control Arrhythmias or abnormaly increase heart rate control.

So, my advice is to go for 24 hrs blood pressure monitoring. Your doctor will see how your blood pressure and heart rate when you have not taken your medicines.

At present if your blood pressure is less than 120-80,you can hold the medicine for a while but your doctor's consultation is required.
