Hi
Thanks for your query.
Your baby is having cute gastroenteritis which is mostly viral in nature and takes few days to settle.
Most important is to maintain hydration .
Give oral rehydration solution sip by sip after each loose stool, give coconut water, lemonade, curd, buttermilk, rice porridge, boiled potato, banana.
Continue with nutrolin B.

Monitor features of dehydration like decreased urine output/lethargy/refusal of feed and in case you observe any get her reevaluated by pediatrician for further management.

Wishing your baby good health.
God bless...

Hi

It looks like your kid is down with a stomach flu- a viral gastro enteritis.

If she has repeated vomiting, she might need medications like Domperidone or Ondensetron according to her weight. She cn be given feeds after 1/2 hr of the medication.
Loose stools will not stop immediately. It might take 4 to 5 days to get okay.
Nutrolin B is a probiotic and it helps in reducing the frequency and duration of loose stools.

Be sure that she drinks well and her urine output is okay.
Feed her frequently in small amounts.
You may give her fluids in the form of ORS, vegetable soups, Rice porridge, coconut water etc. Give her mashed banana, boiled potato, curd in plenty.
Its better to avoid formula milk, fruit juices till she gets okay.

She might get okay in a day or two.
In case she has high grade fever, refuses to drink, urine frequency is very less or you see blood in stools, she is very lethargic or very irritable, please do visit your doctor again.

Hope my answer helps you.
Wish your daughter a speedy recovery.

Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

It may take some more days for the loose motions to subside. Mean while you should prevent dehydration for your kid. So give her ORS depending on the volume of stool she passes. You may also give other fluids like coconut water or any fluid containing sugar and salt.

If there is blood in the stool then your baby needs to be started on antibiotics.

Monitor for the signs of dehydration.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
