Amenorrhea, USG Shows PCOD On Ovaries, Endometrial Thickness, Taken PrimolutN, No Periods Yet. What Is The Cause?

hi doctor,,Im rincy ,25 yrs old..i had history of 6 months amneorrhoea.my last period was on feb 21 st 2012..last week i consulted a doctor.she advised to takeUSG scan.and it reaveales that i have pcod on right ovaries and endometrial thickness is 0.55cm,,doctor advised to take tab, primolut n for 5 days,,,it finished on 27 th september,,threedays over now,,,but i haven t had my periods yet..im worried about my condition,,please give me ur valuable suggestion...

Hi Rincy,
Thanks for writing in.
I think you can wait for few more days. If no bleed then you should go through some other tests to judge your ovarian function. At least you should check your hormone levels ( FSH & LH respectively ). There are many other tests that need to be done like Prolactin & TSH ( these are also hormoses). All these along with your history & clinical examination findings will help reach the diagnosis.
So, go back to your doctor & discuss this issue as your endometrial thickness is not favourable to expect a period.
