When Is Pregnancy Possible After Taking Clomiphene?
Question: I was having Ovalution problem when I test in march and I was having periods in 40 days. Then Doc prescribed me clomiphene 50 mg. after having this medicine I am getting my periods after 29 day. As I am trying get pregenent. I have couple of question:
1) After taking clomiphene what is the best time for intercourse( I mean which days)
If first day of my period is on 9th May .
2) I have read about clomiphene on wiki. After reading it I am a bit scared , that is this medicine is not good for me. Or will I have any problem if I get pregnant with the help of this medicine.
Pls advise

1. Ovulation usually occurs about 8-10 days after completing the 5 day course of clomid . However I advise that after taking clomid do follicular study in that cycle to find out the pattern of egg growth. Once the egg size is 18mm or more you must have intercourse. (You can definitely have intercourse on other days too). A week after intercourse repeat ultrasound to confirm that ovulation has occurred. To be 100% sure that ovulation occurs, consult your doctor and take Inj Human chorionic Gonadotropphin when the egg size is 18mm or more. If you take this injection there is no need for later ultrasound to confirm ovulation.
There is no need to do ultrasound with each cycle of clomid. A woman’s response to clomid is similar in each cycle. So follicular study in one month can guide you regarding the probable time of ovulation in each month.
2. There is a possibility of multiple pregnancy if you are using clomid for ovulation. It is advisable to use clomid for no more than 6 cycles. A study done long time before showed that if clomid is used for more than 12 cycles, it increases the probability of developing ovarian tumours. So it is recommended to be used for 6 cycles.

if i am not doing follicular study , then waht is the expected date for intercourse.

If you are not having folliculometry studies then I advise you to have intercourse every other day. This automatically covers the ovulation period too
No . There is no other significant problem with clomid. There is no problem to baby if clomid is used to induce ovulation.

I also want to ask you that is there any problem in doing rope jumping as the part of exercise when tryin to conceive.g
