What Causes White Lesion On Tongue?

Question: I have this white stuff on my tounge and lip in the same place as you can see in the second image.. I noticed it last sunday,, it doesnt hurt as such but it feels like a very slight burning feeling every now and then,, im worried about it

It could be due to traumatic bite

Hi

Thanks for writing in.

The white lesion on tongue seems to be due to traumatic bite due to sharp tooth.
If there is no sharp cusp then it could be due to:-
- dry mouth
- oral fungal infection
- oral lichen planus
- vitamin deficiency
- hormonal imbalance

While the lesion on lip is oral ulcer that can be due to same reasons as mentioned above.

Apply topical anaesthetic gel like dologel to that region for temporary relieve,
Consult your dentist to rule out the exact cause & get it treated.
