Can Side Effects Of Medicine Cause Oral Ulcer And Throat Pain?
Hi, I have a patient, 21/M, no previous significant medical history. He complaint of Fever with Chills .I started him on Cloroquine DS, Amox-Clav. He tested positive for P.vivax. I added Artemether, Artesunate, Primaquine all in standard dose regimen. His symptoms subsided after 2 days of medication by has again resurfaced after 6 days of initial presentation. Currently he is on Primaquine, which is 14 days course, 8 more days to go. At present he has, oral ulcers,throat pain, thrombocytopenia - 64000, posibbly due to side-effects of medications and NEW ONSET of few with chills. I need a consult regarding further course of management. Thank you
