Brief Answer: Perhaps of anemia +/- infection Detailed Answer: Hi, I understand your concern. Iron is a potent gastric acid supplement. Abdominal fullness / bloating and pain are common associated complaints. I guess the doctor added drugs to suppress acid secretions. Loss of appetite on the other hand has various causes. From your description I think of anemia and recent infection as the likely cause. Remotely, medicines used to suppress acid can cause reduced appetite. In this instance, I would stop antacid drugs. Continue tonoferon syrup, may be take them after food. Encourage her to eat fruits and vegetables. Reassess the condition say after a week. Consult her doctor if things don't improve. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications. Regards
