Brief Answer:
Continue monitoring, late ovulation may occur.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
I have gone through your reports.
Actually, ovulation generally occurs around day 14 of a cycle, when the egg size is around 18 - 20 mm.
But since you are having delayed cycles, it is possible that you are having delayed ovulation.
So please continue with the follicular monitoring for a few more days.
When the dominant follicle in the left ovary reaches a size of minimum 18 - 20 mm, injection HCG can be given to induce rupture ( ovulation ).
Remain sexually active and continue the monitoring.
Also let me know a few more details.
How long have you been trying to conceive ?
How many cycles of follicular monitoring have been done so far - have you ovulated in them ?
Has your husband's semen analysis been done ?
Please take regular folic acid supplements.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.

I have been trying to conceive from around 6 months. This is the first cycle of follicular monitoring.
Husband's semen analysis is also done and there was some infection, due to which mobility was around 49%, so doctor has suggested some medicines which my husband is taking.
I am already taking folic acid as well as Fertisure F.
Should I get the next scan done tomorrow or day after?
Also, you mentioned remain sexually active? Should that be done during these days too or when the follicle reaches maturity?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Aarti Abraham (5 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Next scan can be done day after tomorrow.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
You can get the next scan done day after tomorrow.
You can remain sexually active every alternate day because the follicle will reach maturity any of these days.
Can you upload the semen analysis husband of your husband please ?
Take care.

Brief Answer:
As below

Detailed Answer:
I have gone through it.
Yes, there is some infection, which might be causing the immobile and abnormal sperms.
Let him take the medications as prescribed.
You should remain sexually active atleast every alternate day, as regular intercourse will lead to fresh sperms being released.
ANd let me know how the monitoring goes when you have it done day after tomorrow .
What is your height and weight ?
Have you been tested for PCOD ?

Hello mam. I got follicular study done today and based on that my doctor advised me to take hcg injection. Pfa the report and advise.
doctor
Answered by Dr. Aarti Abraham (52 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Yes, take HCG injection.

Detailed Answer:
Yes, please take the injection.
The follicle has reached optimum size and HCG will help to release it ( ovulation ).
Please remain sexually active and engage in intercourse daily / alternate day for the next 3- 4 days atleast.
Get a study done 36 hours after injection to confirm ovulation.
You can think of getting an IUI ( intra uterine insemination ) done also, since the semen analysis is slightly problematic.
Take care.

Ok. One more question. I am planning to go out of station next weekend by car. It is a drive of around 7 hours. Is it safe to travel during that point (hoping for positive prefnancy test) or should I avoid travel at that time?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Aarti Abraham (26 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
As below

Detailed Answer:
If possible avoid the journey.
Rest after the period of possible implantation.
If unavoidable, travel with minimum jerks and lots of rest, breaks and hydration.
You should be fine if due caution is taken.
Keep me posted.
