Is Viral Meningitis Contagious?

Yes, I was just told of a caterer that is doing some work for us, just got out of the hospital with viral meningitis. Is this something to be concerned with? Is it contagious? He is catering food for a party for us next week and I am worried about it.

Hello,
It is my privilege to be able to help you,
I have gone through your history as you have informed that your caterer had viral meningitis for which he has taken the treatment.
There are many viruses which can cause meningitis, only few of them are contagious. Make sure which virus caused the meningitis to your caterer.
I would advise you to consult your neurologist and discuss this issue with him. He will be able to explain which was the virus responsible for meningitis to your caterer and then you can decide.
Thank you
