What Is The Treatment For Pain After Having Total Shoulder Replacement?

I had total shoulder replacement mid october, now three months have large issue....went to therapy, 5 times, think something happened, went back to my doctor, he took ct scan X-rays says he cannot find anything, but it could be torn. What it looks like, is that the glenoid (component), some how dropped , it moved and it sticks out toward my chest, and you can see a screw or something in front. The doctor says hes not worried about it, just my mobility. How can I exercise, the touching of it really hurts....I left his office in tears, I don't know where to turn, or what to do....can you help?

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
If your orthoapedic surgeon checked out your XR and your CT scan and was happy with the positioning of your shoulder replacement then I would be reassured. Sometimes X-rays because they are 2D images of 3D structures can be confusing. If you are concerned then you could ask your Dr for a second opinon. SHoulder replacements do take much longer than say a hip or knee replacement to get better and so you may have no real reason to worry. I would encourage you to see a physiotherapist to help you with your rehabilitation.
