Hi, Other than already told, get a prostate specific antigen level evaluation done to rule out malignancy. A per rectal examination will confirm BPH. Any other questions, happy to help again.

There are two types of treatments : Medical and Surgical. When the prostate is too large or is fibrotic or has suspicious of cancer or so- Surgery has to be done. There are medicines which can help alleviate the problem. You have to discuss this with an urologist who can give you an opinion on digital palpation, ultrasonography, blood and urine tests including PSA for cancer.
