hello. i am 39 years old and i am having some pain on my right breast - pain is piercing (on and off) and breast also feels heavy (occasionally). I felt this pain for two days now. I just had my period a week ago and i don t feel any lumps at all and has not noticed any change in my right breast/nipple s appearance.
According to your description as you have ruled out some causes, the other possible causes of your breast pain are: - Radiating pain from the sprains of back, neck or shoulder, chest wall pain, costochondritis etc. - Ill fitted inner wear and/or sleeping in the prone position. - Fibrocystic breast disease - Mastitis etc.
If the pain persists better to get evaluated, please consult your gynecologist once, get examined and go for sonomammography. With this work-up the possible cause of your problem can be identified and treatment can be planned accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sree Gouri S. R., OBGYN
