Hi. I had a nose bleed from the right nostril two nights ago .. The bleeding stopped within a minute .. I had the same problem last night .. This happened again this morning but took a little longer for bleeding to stop.. I have a slight headache .. I have suffered post nasal drip for many years & am using Nasonex spray.. I’m 67 years old .. l had a triple bypass 18months ago with regular check ups have recovered well & back playing sport & dancing .. My blood pressure was checked by a doctor 3 days ago it was 127/74.. I also had my annual Blood tests but don’t have results yet.. Should I be concerned.. Thanking you.. Cheryl

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

First, get yourself checked by an ENT surgeon as there may be an ongoing problem.

Secondly, get BT, CT, PT, and APTT tests as this may be due to blood thinning drugs which you have taken after bypass surgery. After test contact your local doctor for further action.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi
