My resting pulse is 44, I am of course very fit,you have not given any past, current or medication history with regard to your husband,so I have to pass on a sensible answer.

I am a 24 and a half year old white female with 3 children ages 4 and under. My heart rate is normally on the higher side when I am pregnant and that s pretty much the only time I ever check it. But I ve been checking it a lot the past few days and every time it s been between 101-109bpm. Even after just waking up after sleeping. Sometimes I do feel like my heart is racing. Is this something I should get checked out by a doctor?

Hello. I am a 24 year old healthy female, and last week I started to not feel right. I felt that my heart rate was rapid and I checked it with the Nellcor (my mom is a nurse at a hospital and she has it to monitor pulse ox and heart rate). It would range from 90 BPM to 125 BPM. It would occur randomly and while I was just sitting watching television. Then I started to get migraines every day last week, and I couldn t go to work or to school. My doctor s office was closed, and so I decided to go to the emergency room. They did an EKG and they said it was normal, but they also said that my heart rate was high while I was there, but they sent me home. It has since gotten worse. If I walk up stairs, or if I exert myself too much, I feel lightheaded and my heart starts pounding in my chest, with this associated extreme pressure in my head. It passes after a few moments if I just stand there and breathe, but it I do not know what to make of it. Should I be worried?

My 16 year old cousin is spending the weekend with my husband and I while her parents are out of country. She was complaining of feeling unwell, headachy, dizzy and light headed, and way too hot. I took her temperature and she has a slight fever (99.8 F), and then she complained that her heart was beating weird. Her resting heart rate (she had been sitting on the sofa for three hours an this point, and her heart was beating at 94 bpm,and i no particular consistent way (as opposed to mine which beats very rhythmically and consistently). I am going to take her to the walk in clinic tomorrow morning, but I was jut wondering, everything is closed right now, do you think I should take her to the children s hospital ER? or am I completely over reacting? and now it has nearly double that at 168 bpm, I am worried. he says she can feel her heart beating in arms and back

My blood pressure is excellent, but I woke up last night with a pulse rate of 111. my husband stated go to the ER. My EKG was good, the heart monitor was good, it went down to 87, 82, but I do have a thyroid problem, think that could be the problem. The doctor also stated I had a heart mummer?? that was new :( but can you help me. Then she stated they may be given me to much thyroid medication.
