Will A Cortisone Injection Help In Treating A Large Hematoma And Torn Ligament Bursitis?
i feel very hard on a tile floor on 8 30 18 had severe pain in hip and buttocks went to dr had mri large hemotoma torn ligament bursitis i am a 70 yr old man have been going to water therapy 5 wks 3x a wk still in pain would a cortisone injection help thank you

Cortisone will offer relief for the inflammation but it can delay healing progress of the torn ligaments.
It is best to splint the ankle, elevate the limb and apply ice packs 5 times a day. You can perform physiotherapy once you feel better. Take Paracetamol for pain relief.
