I am a 28 year old female, 173 lbs. and 5 feet in height. I had my gallbladder removed in 2010, and I am thinking of taking diet pills to lose weight. Would phentermine cause any serious problems? Is there any other medication you can recommend? Thanks a lot!

Hello.The intake of Phentermine for weight loss is not recommended because it can cause significant side effects (palpitations, increased blood pressure, nervousness ....). The main therapy for weight loss is diet. Also drugs such as Orlistat or Fluoxetine may be prescribed by your physician if he deems it appropiate.
