Would An MRI Scan Help In Finding The Cause Of Pain?

My doctor is currently treating me for suspected IBS.
i am feverish and achy. This has happened before and was advised to take paracetemol. I am tired of all the pain I am experiencing and have had a scan for gall stones - can I ask for an MRI scan?

Hi Dear !! Thanks for your query to HCM.
Read and reviewed query.
Based on facts of your query, Your husband seem to suffer from-
IBS with Obsession for Abdominal Pain.
Dear,as You are diagnosed for your abdominal pain,as being IBS and treated accordingly,You need not give much thought to MRI for knowing cause of abdominal pain.
Just have Second Physician opinion, which You can always have if not satisfied with your attending doctor.
Its the clinical and physical examination, which is more important in arriving at right diagnosis of cause of your abdominal pain.If MRI is indicated let your doctor decide on it.Don't get obsessed on wrong ideas
.MRI does not detect any disease.
Its the doctors vision after your assessment on your complaints and physical findings and response of it to drugs regimen employed from your doctor.
Follow this to recover soon.
Hope this would resolve your health issues early
Welcome for any further query in this regard.

Good Day !!
