Will There Be Bleeding In First Month Of Pregnancy?

I ve had unprotected sex the past few months and my last period was April 13. When I was due for my next one I felt different and it never came. I started having food cravings and my breast have grown. I thought for sure I was pregnant. But the other day I started bleeding lightly and now today I m bleeding a little heavier. I ve heard that you can get your period in the first month of a pregnancy. I don t know what to do??

Hi,
You should test for pregnancy through either a HPT or blood test and also get a trans-vaginal sonogram and get a proper evaluation by a specialist. If you have always had regular 28-30 day cycles, it is highly likely that you are pregnant in which event the bleeding should not be taken lightly. Bleeding at the normal cycle of menstruation can occur in pregnancy in some people, but this is likely to happen mostly when there is an uterine anomaly. Please take rest in bed and abstain from sexual intercourse until a proper diagnosis is done. Hope this helps.
